Utah has five national parks: Zion, Bryce, Arches (pictured above), Canyonlands and Capital Reef. All of these parks are located in the Southern half of Utah, 4-6 hours driving time from Salt Lake City. There are several national monuments including the Dinosaur National Monument and the Timpanogos Cave. In the SE corner is the Lake Powell National Recreation Area where the Colorado River winds its way to the Grand Canyon through gorgeous red rock scenery and desert vistas.
