Comments: The original McDonogh Maryland post office (left) is next to the McDonogh train station (right). Note the mail crane and platform in the center of the picture next to the railroad track. The McDonogh post office received its first mail on November 1, 1882 (3rd class PO) at this building. The post office was moved to the campus of McDonogh School in 1929. The PO building was torn down in 1939 to make way for a bridge. The train station was demolished in the mid 1970's. Photo is courtesy of the McDonogh School Archives.
