Comment: This post office is located in the unincorporated village of Neva Corners (Langlade County, WI), at N 5290 County Road A, about 1/4 mile east of US Highway 45. This post office was originally located in the unincorporated village of Deerbrook, about 1-1/4 miles northwest of Neva Corners, but when US Hwy 45 was re-routed and no longer went through Deerbrook, the village began to "dry up". When the mill finally closed, I believe in the 1970s, it was decided to move the Deerbrook PO to Neva Corners - a location more central to the PO's three rural routes, according to Tom and Bev Sikora, who operate the grocery and tavern in Neva Corners. The move took place in 1980, according to the Sikoras. Although the PO has been located in Neva Corners for nearly a quarter-century, the rural route patrons' delivery addresses and the postmark devices used still read "Deerbrook, WI 54424".
