Comments: Comstock Township. Building dedicated in 1959. Located at 6095 King Highway. The post office was in many types of buildings such as a grocery store, small hotel, railroad station, sun parlor in a private home, rear of the Odd Fellow Hall, cleaners establishment and finally its own building. Established on February 28, 1832 with Lyman I. Daniel as its first postmaster. Josiah Loveland has the distinction of holding the office of postmaster for the longest period of time...June 20, 1857 to June 28, 1882.
