Comments: Bruce Township. Originally established as MONUSCONG on March 20, 1884 with John C. Blanchard as its first postmaster. Discontinued operation on June 28, 1886; mail service to Strongville. Name changed to THORICE on January 14, 1905. Discontinued operation on May 14, 1910; reestablished on November 19, 1913. Discontinued operation on June 15, 1917; reestablished on December 10, 1921. Name changed to MUNUSKONG on December 16, 1926. Spelling change to MUNUSCONG on July 1, 1927. Discontinued operation on May 31, 1958; mail service to Barbeau.
