Comment: Established on November 1, 1882 with J. C. Irvine as its first postmaster. Historical Fact: In 1906 this stone post office was one of two such structures to be built in Saskatchewan by the Federal Government (the other is in Moose Jaw). An addition to the south, of identical design and materials, joined the building to the Northern Crown Bank. After the Post Office moved its offices to South Railway Avenue in 1963, this building served as Regina's City Hall until 1976. It has now been rehabilitated and is used as a shopping mall, Globe Theatre and Regina Plains Museum. It is located at 1801 Scarth Street in Regina.
